Vital Regeneration is an agency working for positive change in London’s most deprived neighbourhoods by developing sustainable and effective social, environmental and economic programmes.
Our purpose is to deliver effective, long-lasting solutions to the social, environmental and economic problems experienced by people living in disadvantaged communities.
Vital Regeneration is a company limited by guarantee (England, 5403518) and a Registered Charity and its charity number is 1110882.
Vital Regeneration is registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner for the United Kingdom.
Why we may collect your data
Personal information
You may at times be asked to supply personal information via Vital Regeneration’s website. Personal information is anything that enables us to identify you in some way, such as your name and an email address.
If you supply such information, we are legally bound by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that such information is only used for the purpose for which it was requested and also to ensure that the data is held securely.
Personal data might be collected from contact forms or a mailing list you subscribe to. We do not collect any information automatically from your computer, we only collect information you knowingly provide. Such information is only collected to enable Vital Regeneration to fulfill your requests. Your email address will be used, with your permission, to contact you about issues relevant to Vital Regeneration or your transactions if any. We will not knowingly share your personal information with any third party without your express permission, unless required to by appropriate authorities.

We may collect and record information in order for us to understand more about how our site is used and in turn to make sure that the site reflects your needs. To do this we may send cookies to your PC.

Survey
Occasionally we may ask you to fill in questionnaires or surveys whilst online. The data collected by the questionnaire or survey will only be used for the purpose stated on the form. You may also be given the opportunity to add your address details to our database so we can contact you in the future. We will only use this information to contact you if you expressly give us permission to do so.
Financial information
We do not collect any financial information directly on our website. All donations are managed by justgiving.com (JG).
If you donate or make a pledge on JG, they collect your first and last name, your declaration of tax status, your credit or debit card details (including card type, card number and expiry date) and your billing address. JG only pass on your name to your friend (the owner of the fundraising page where you made your donation) through their secure JG account.
JG will only use your payment details for the purpose of processing your donation via their card processing partner Barclaycard. To find out more about the security of your payments, please read their security policy.

If you make a Gift Aid declaration, JG will pass it on to HM Revenue and Customs for the purpose of reclaiming tax on behalf of the recipient charity. Your Gift Aid declaration includes your name and home address (which may be different from your billing address) along with the confirmation that you are paying sufficient amounts of tax in the current tax year. Every time you make a donation, you will be given the option to receive further information from Vital Regeneration. JG will not pass on your name or address to us unless you expressly ask them to do so.
Requests for information
If you make a request for further information via Vital Regeneration’s website, the data will only be retained on our Web Servers as long as necessary in order to respond to your query.
Child Protection concerns
All enquiries which contain concerns about a child’s safety are passed immediately to one of our designated Child Protection officers at Vital Regeneration. Data is not retained on the web servers.
Confidentiality
Vital Regeneration’s website may include links to other sites, not owned or managed by Vital Regeneration. We cannot be held responsible for the privacy of data collected by websites that are not managed by Vital Regeneration.
Who we share information with
Vital Regeneration does not rent or sell mailing details to any third party. However, occasionally Vital Regeneration works with partner organisations to send you information on other ways in which you can support Vital Regeneration. However, we will not simply add your name to another organisation’s database.
Vital Regeneration may from time to time need to use the services of an Internet Provider. For financial or technical reasons these may be sited outside of the European Economic Area. Use of data by the Internet Service Provider on behalf of Vital Regeneration is regulated and safeguarded by both international procedures and legal agreements to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. In particular, we wish to ensure that data is adequately protected in the Provider’s country of business, as obliged by the 8th Data Protection Principle.
